RECIPE

As per 60 gram

Ingredient Required

Chicken/Lamb/Mutton

750g
large meat portions

Rice Parboiled

750g
washed &soaked for2+hours

Tomatoes

400g
6 medium quartered

Tomato paste

200g /1 cup

Onions

2 medium
diced

Raisins

4-5 tablespoons

Cooking oil /butter

200 ml /1cup

Hot Water

3 ½ cups

Shan Kabsa Rice Mix

1 Packet

Steps of Cooking

  1. Heat oil, stir-fry onion until light golden.
  2. Add meat stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes. Add Shan Kabsa Rice Mix, Raisins, tomato paste and stir.
  4. Add 1-2 cups of water. Bring to boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook (chicken 30 minutes, lamb/mutton 45 minutes) or until meat is tender.
  5. Add drained rice and 3 cups of hot water. Bring to boil then reduce heat to low. Cover tightly (with aluminum foil) and cook for exactly 15 minutes on medium heat.
  6. Remove cover (Note: if rice is not tender, sprinkle ½ cup of hot water over it). Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until rice is tender. Mix rice and put it in a serving dish and place the meat over it.
