Ingredient Required

Meat on Bones

400 g
cubes

Rice

400 g
washed and soaked

Potatoes

125g / 2 medium
peeled and cut in four pieces

Onion

2 medium / 200 g
finely sliced

Tomatoes

2 medium / 150 g
finely chopped

Cilantro/Fresh Coriander

3 tbsp
chopped

Mint Leaves

3 tbsp
chopped

Green Chillies

Lemon Juice

Plain Yogurt

½ cup / 100 g
whipped

Oil/Ghee

¾ - 1 cup

Masalaydaar Darbari Biryani Masala

Steps of Cooking

  1. Fry onions in hot oil until golden. Add meat, tomatoes and Maa Masalay Dar Darbari Biryani Masala, cook until tomatoes are soft and tender and until gravy separates from Oil/Ghee.
  2. Add yogurt, potatoes and 1-2 cup of water. Cover and cook on low heat until meat is tender.
  3. Take 10 cups of boiling water, stir in 2 tablespoons of Salt and soak rice. Boil rice until half cooked. Remove and drain thoroughly.
  4. Spread cooked rice evenly, add meat gravy, lemons, green chilies, coriander and mint leaves. Add layer of leftover rice on top, add yellow food coloring, cover and cook on low heat.
  5. Mix before serving.
